Chiara Smirne nasce il 13 luglio del 1980 a Novara, dove vive fino all’età di 25 anni, per poi trasferirsi a Milano. Già da bambina manifesta un forte interesse per il disegno, che la porta a creare molti personaggi di fantasia. Presto anche l'uso del colore diventa uno strumento per esprimere i suoi stati emotivi interiori. Frequenta il liceo artistico e successivamente la facoltà di lettere e filosofia all’Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano, seguendo i suoi altrettanto forti interessi letterari.
Nel 2010 riemerge con forza l’esigenza di esprimersi attraverso la pittura. Riprende quindi un percorso di formazione frequentando corsi di pittura avanzata: all’Accademia NABA di Milano, nel 2010, e alla Scuola Superiore d’Arte Applicata del Castello Sforzesco, nel 2011.
Chiara Smirne was born on 13 July 1980 in Novara, where she lived until she was 25 when she moved to Milan. As a child she showed early on a strong interest for drawing, which brought her to create many characters. The use of colour became an instrument through which she expressed her internal emotional state. She attended an art high school and then the liberal arts college of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, following her equally strong literary interests.
In 2010, her need to express herself through painting re-emerged and she took up her studies again, attending advanced painting courses at NABA Academy in Milan in 2010 and at the Scuola Superiore d’Arte Applicata at Castello Sforzesco in 2011.
