Donatella Marraoni inizia il suo magnifico viaggio nell’arte nel 1995 all'Accademia di Belle Arti di Perugia, diplomandosi nel 1998 con lode. In questo stesso anno si trasferisce in Inghilterra dove vivrà per 5 anni.
É proprio durante questo soggiorno che la sua espressione artistica verrà fortemente influenzata. Tornata in Italia lavora per molti anni nel settore commerciale fino al 2012, quando sente il bisogno di dedicarsi a tempo pieno alla sua passione: la pittura e la narrazione delle emozioni.
La donna è il soggetto centrale, protagonista in scene di amore, passione, dolore, abbandono, desiderio, perversione. Donatella definisce i suoi lavori nati dal caos dalla confusione: caratterizzati da linee forti, veloci, non finite, graffianti. I mezzi di comunicazione usati sono estremamente vari: olio, china, pigmenti, vetro, cemento e caffè.
Donatella Marraoni began her magnificent art journey in '95, when she attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Perugia, Italy graduating in '98 with first class honors. In this same year she relocated to England where she lived for 5 years.
It was during her stay in England that Donatella’s artistic expression was greatly influenced. She moved back to Italy and continued her work for many years in the commercial business sector until 2012, when she left everything and devoted herself full-time to painting.
The woman is the essential subject and all the situations surrounding her are protagonist scenes of love, passion, pain, desire and sometimes perversion. Donatella’s paintings are born out of chaos and characterized by strong, scratchy lines. The media she uses are extremely varied: oil, acrylic, ink, glass, pigments, cement and coffee.
